Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a small, boutique law firm.
As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to attorneys by handling landlord / tenant files, specifically, EVICTIONS.
Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to handle an eviction file from beginning to end and work independently.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents.
- Review and analyze documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and other supporting documents.
- Manage calendars and schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform administrative tasks Proven experience as a Paralegal or similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in business, Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field. OR
- Completion of a paralegal certification program preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a legal department or law firm, with specific experience in evictions.
- Strong understanding of eviction and state-specific regulations preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research using online databases and resources.
